School is over! We have one month off! YEA! We were definitely ready for this break. We also have reason to celebrate! We got our grades yesterday, I made straight A's, and Thomas made all A's and a B in Quantum Mechanics! We are especially excited about that B, it was an extremely hard class, and he was borderline, so we're thrilled. ALSO, Thomas re-took the GRE yesterday, and this time he made a 1220! He needed an 1100 to qualify for the lower-level fellowship at U of A, and that is what we were shooting for. Instead, he blew it out of the water! He made high enough to qualify him for the highest level fellowship (although he still doesn't know about his writing score, they mail that). He told me that the woman who administered the tests said she hadn't seen that high of a score in four years. We're pretty excited.
Jace is doing well. He is mimicking a lot more now. Almost everything. His language skills are still really limited, and we had a conference with his behavioral therapist and she thinks he's ADD. I kind of just feel like he's two years old, and when his language skills catch up, a lot of this stuff will sort itself out, so I'm trying not to worry too much about it. His speech therapist always says very positive, very encouraging things. We've tried to get Christmas pictures taken, but he's not having it, so I don't think we're going to get pictures done this year.
Thomas's family is coming in on Friday to spend Christmas with us. We are excited about that. They will be here for a week, so that will be fun. I just hope I can get over this sickness before Friday (really before Thursday so I can clean and shop and everything). After two and a half weeks, I finally went to the doctor, and now I'm on four medications and still not feeling better. I'm not sure what's wrong with me, but it's got to go away, I'm getting impatient.
Well, I just wanted to share our good news about Thomas! I hope we will get to talk to you all soon! As the holidays surround us, I wish more and more that we could be together. Distance is a miserable thing, especially this time of year. We love and miss you all.
